Women's Health
Women's health focuses on the diagosis and treatment of medical conditions that are unique to women, as well as conditions that are unique that affect both men and women but may affect women differently.
Health goals can change depending on life stage, and lifestyle choices can help lower your health risks.
Ask your doctor about screening tests for heart problems, diabetes, kidney disease, osteoporosis and cancer. This is because important and treatable problems can go undiagnosed until they become very severe and sometimes disabling.
Health screenings for women ages 40 to 64
You should visit your health care provider from time to time, even if you are healthy. The purpose of these visits is to:
-
screen for medical issues, as some diseases do not have symptoms in their early stages
-
help identify potential health issues before they become more serious
-
track changes in your health over time
-
assess your risk of developing future health problems
-
check for current or emerging medical issues

No screening test is 100% accurate so it is important to be screened/checked at regular intervals.

In Honour of our Loving Mom, the Foundation will sponsor 20 women for Full Health Check (Blood Test, Kidney and Liver Function test). It is our belief that proper medical care can elongate the life of our loved ones and their overall health until God calls them. If we did not give our parents proper medical care and prompt interventions, they may have passed on, earlier than they did. This is the reason we (their children) have decided to reach out to other people in their honour and memory.
Reasons Why Regular Health Check-up Is Important
-
Early Detection and Prevention
One of the primary benefits of regular health check is the early detection and prevention of diseases. Routine screenings, such as blood pressure checks, cholesterol tests, and cancer screenings, can identify potential health problems in their initial stages. Detecting conditions early allows for timely intervention and increases the chances of successful treatment or management. Being proactive and catching health issues early can prevent them from progressing into more serious and potentially life-threatening conditions.
-
Monitoring and Managing Existing Conditions
Regular checks are vital for individuals with pre-existing health conditions, to monitor and manage their needs effectively. Your doctor can assess the progress of your condition, adjust treatment plans if necessary, and provide guidance on the things you need to do to improve your overall health. By maintaining a regular schedule of health checks, you can reduce the likelihood of health problems and improve any existing health conditions.
